Breaking and entering the dwelling house of Mark Hattersley at Ripon and stealing goods and money to the value of 5s.Had been sentenced to transportation at the Yorkshire Assizes Lent 1759 and several times after that from other assizes around the country; confessed that he came from a family of habitual thieves and returning transports; by his own account he had been transported to Maryland or Virginia three times.
