Horse stealing - a grey gelding belonging to Richard Thornton of Horncastle, near Hemsworth.Lee had earlier pleaded guilty at Beverley Quarter Sessions to stealing pigs from Cawthorne, near Barnsley. He was transferred to York Castle Gaol to await transportation, and was there recognized as a horse thief for which he was duly charged and sentenced to death.

Highway robbery of Robert Stainton at Saxton and of John Boldock at Owston; also found guilty of horse stealing - a red roan mare belonging to William Chambers.Reported escaped from Hull Gaol on 27 March 1736 where he was held on suspicion of horse stealing; the wanted notice described him as: 'a middle-siz'd Man, about 28 Years of Age, of a fair Complexion, had on an Olive colour'd Coat, the Collar of which was lin'd with light Velvet, a blue Silk Waistcoat, Leather Breeches, and a light Bob Wigg; he lately liv'd with --- Combes, Esq.'
